Equinox Technologies are pleased to announce that we now stock the Atmel STK600 Starter Kit and Development System which supports the AVR and AVR32 flash microcontrollers from Atmel. This system is designed to give designers a quick start to develop code on the AVR, combined with advanced features for using the starter kit to prototype and test new designs. The STK600 is shipped with a ATmega2560 device board. The STK600 board supports every different microcontroller package type by offering so-called 'Socket and adapter boards'. These boards can be purchased seprately from the STK600 kit and are available to cover the entire range of AVR devices, from 8- to 144-pins devices. The Atmel AVR® STK600 is a complete starter kit and development system for the AVR and AVR32 flash microcontrollers from ATMEL Corporation. It is designed to give designers a quick start to develop code on the AVR, combined with advanced features for using the starter kit to prototype and test new designs. STK600 is shipped with a ATmega2560 device board. Socket and adapter boards are available for the whole range of AVR's, from 8- to 144-pins devices. The socket and adaptor boards must be bought separately.

STK600 Socket Adaptors

The Atmel STK600 Starter Kit supports most AVR, XMEGA AVR and AVR32 devices. A range of  'Socket Modules' is available for the STK600 which allow the kit to support all the various device packages e.g. PLCC, TQFP, SOIC etc. The available STK600 adaptors include the following: ATSTK600-DIP40 ATSTK600-TQFP32 ATSTK600-TQFP64 ATSTK600-TQFP100 ATSTK600-TQFP144 ATSTK600-Tinyx3U Please note: The STK600 kit comes with an ATmega2560 device board as standard with the ATmega2560 physically soldered to the PCB i.e. it is not socketed.
