This is a 'Firmware Upgrade Project' for the Equinox PPM3-MK2 programmer.
Programmer: PPM3-MK2 Upgrade to firmware version: 5.38A Release date: 16th July 2010
New Features:
1. New detect 2kHz pulse - ‘Wait For State’ function This new feature is used when running ‘Oscillator Calibration Firmware’ under programmer control. The calibration firmware signals a ‘PASS’ back to the programmer by outputting a constant 2 kHz pulse waveform. If the programmer is set up to wait for the final state of an I/O pin to be ‘2 kHz’, then it will detect this pulse waveform and the ‘Run Target’ project will pass. This is a much more reliable method of signaling a PASS than just using a logic 1 or logic 0.
2. Better diagnostic information in standalone mode and when using GO_AUTO_INIT mode
Algorithms supported in this version:
- Atmel AVR - SPI interface
- Atmel AVR - JTAG interface
- Atmel AT89Sxxxxx - SPI interface
- Atmel AT89C51Rxx - 8051 UART programmable devices
- NXP - 89C51Rxx - 8051 UART programmable devices
- Zensys ZWxxx Series - SPI interface
- All silicon vendors - generic 24xxx I2C serial EEPROM memories
Algorithms NOT supported in this version:
- Atmel AT91SAM7 - JTAG interface
Instructions:
- Unzip the attached *.PPC file
- Use EQTools or Upload Wizard to upload the PPC file to the programmer.
- The programmer will then automatically re-flash its firmware.
