The AD-48TS20-Z0-SD is a 2-part prototyping adaptor designed to allow TSOP-48 chips to be tested on a Target Board without having to physically solder the chip to the board. The adaptor is made up of two sections, one which solders to the Target Board and the other which features the TSOP-48 open-top adaptor.

This adaptor is ideal for testing out any TSOP-48 device, before soldering it to a Target Board.

Solder-down circuit board

This is a small circuit board which can be soldered to the TSOP-48 footprint on the Target Board. It is designed to fit in the same physical space as the original TSOP-48 chip which it is replacing. The circuit board features special pins on the top which mate with the other half of the adaptor. It is only designed for a single use but with careful soldering / desoldering it may be possible to re-use it.

Mating TSOP-48 ZIF adaptor

This part of the adaptor mates with the bottom circuit board and features a 48-pin open-top TSOP adaptor on the top. This allows any TSOP-48 device to be inserted in the top socket on the adaptor and the pins of this device will then be routed through in a 1-to-1 manner to the corresponding pins on the Target Board below.
