Overview --------------------- It is necessary to install the correct drivers for the Hardware Dongle in order for it to work with the ICCAVR compiler. Please follow the instructions below to install the drivers.
Instructions -------------------- 1. Launch a Command Prompt Window - From the Windows desktop, Select <Start><Run> and then type 'cmd' (without the quotes) and click the <OK> button.
2. Change to the \\drivers directory - Type 'cd c:\\icc\\drivers' (replace c:\\icc with your installation root if you have installed ICCAVR in anything other than the default directory)
3. Setting up the drivers i. For a Parallel Port Dongle - Type 'setupdrv /par\'
ii. For a USB Port Dongle - Type 'setupdrv /usb\'
*** Please Note *** You must have administrative privileges to install the drivers.
4. Testing the drivers After driver installation, attach the dongle and reinvoke the Imagecraft ICCAVR IDE. On some systems, you may need to reboot. The dongle must be attached when compiling and building. See Winhelp file for details.
