The CANUSB-V2 is a 'CAN serial adaptor' which can be used for any application where a PC needs to be interfaced to the CAN Bus.

Typical application examples include in-car equipment configuration, car ECU configuration, wind turbines, rail CAN applications and these adaptors are even used in dairy industry to control milking machines.

The CANUSB-V2 plugs into any PC USB Port and gives an instant CAN connectivity. This means it can be treated by software is a standard COM Port (serial RS232 port) which eliminates the need for any extra drivers or by installing a direct driver DLL for faster communications and higher CAN bus loads. Sending and receiving can be done in standard ASCII format.
