| The Xeltek Superpro580U is a high-speed Universal Programmer which supports 18,055+ programmable devices from 130+ IC manufacturers including EPROMs, EEPROMs, Flash memories, CPLDs, PALs and GALs. The programmer features a 48-pin ZIF (Zero Insertion Force) socket and 48 pin Universal Pin Driver Technology allowing it to program up to 48 pin devices in DIL (Dual In Line) package without requiring any adaptors. Other package types are supported by using the relevant Package Adaptor. The programmer connects to the controlling PC via a high-speed USB link. This makes the programmer ideal for use with newer laptops which do not have a Parallel Port. |

ZIF Socket - Supports up to 48-pin DIL devices |
|
|
The SuperPro 580U programmer features a 48-pin DIL (Dual-In-Line) ZIF (Zero Insertion Force) socket with 48 independent pin-drivers. The 48-pin ZIF socket allows the programmer to support many more devices than the more traditional 40-pin programmers on the market including high-density FLASH and EEPROM Memory devices which are common in 48-pin TSOP packages. Many of the more recent high-integration microcontrollers also require more than 40pins for programming. A suitable Package Adaptor is required to convert the package of the target chip to the DIL equivalent.

48-pin Universal Pin-driver technology |

- The programmer features a Universal Pin-Driver for each of the 48 pins of the ZIF socket.

No adaptors are required for DIL (Dual-in-Line) devices as every pin can be driven by the programmer.

The same universal adaptor can be used to support any device with up to 48-pins eg. PLCC-44, TSOP-48 etc.

The Universal Pin-Driver technology supports direct interfacing to devices down to 1.5V.

Pin continuity and wrong chip insertion check prevent chips from accident damage.

- Programming Taks can be saved as Programming Projects which minimise the process of device selection, file loading, device configuration setting, operation option, batch file setting etc. to a single step.
- History of device selection and file loading simplify operation.
- Batch command combines device operations like program, verify, security into a single command at any sequence.
- Auto-start starts batch command automatically as soon as the chip is detected to be inserted in the socket properly.
- Serial number can be generated and programmed into devices automatically in any way user-specified format.
- The correct device type will be suggested according to the actual ID read when an incorrect Device Type is selected.
