EVALU8R - Microcontroller Evaluation Module

  
 
 

This Evaluation Module is ideal for evaluating any 8051 or AVR Microcontroller derivative which features the generic 40-pin or 20-pin 8051 pin-out. The module features an ISP Port compatible with the Atmel AT89S and AT90S(AVR) microcontrollers allowing an external ISP Programmer (not supplied) to program the devices in situe.

Available as a stand-alone module or as part of the following systems:

  • AVR Professional Starter System
  • FLASH 8051 Professional Microcontroller Starter System

  • Feature-packed microcontroller evaluation module
  • Supports in-circuit parallel programming of most Atmel 8051 FLASH microcontrollers (requires external ISP programmer - not supplied)
  • 8 x LED's
  • 5 x Push Buttons
  • RS-232 Communications
  • Simple Analogue to Digital Converter (A/D) using target microcontroller analogue comparator
  • Piezo sounder
  • In-System Programming (ISP) Port
  • 8, 20 and 40-way Device Sockets
  • Each 8-bit port brought out to a separate 10way IDC Header
In-System Programming (ISP) support
  • ISP support of Atmel AT89S 40-pin microcontrollers (AT89S51 / 52 / 53 / 8252 / 53)
  • ISP support of Atmel AT90S AVR 20-pin microcontrollers (AT90S1200 / AT90S2313)
  • ISP support of Atmel ATtiny 8-pin microcontrollers
  • ISP programming requires an external ISP programmer - not supplied
  • ISP programmer plugs into the ISP Port on the Evalu8r
Parallel Programmable Microcontroller Support
  • Supports evaluation of any generic 8051 40-pin DIP pin-out microcontroller
  • Supports evaluation of Atmel AT89Cx051 20-pin DIP microcontrollers (non ISP)
  • Device must be programmed separate from the Evalu8r Module using a suitable parallel programmer (not supplied)
