The Equinox PPM3-MK2 is a high-end Production Programmer designed for high-speed In-System Programming (ISP) of programmable devices which are mounted on a Target System. The programmer connects to the Target System by means of an 'I/O Connector Module'. These modules are interchangeable allowing the programmer to support any possible target connection scheme. The programmer can be used in 'Standalone Mode' where any one of 64 pre-loaded 'Programming Projects' can be executed at the press of a button. It is also possible to use the programmer in 'Development Mode' where the EQtools - Equinox Development Suite (EDS) software is used to read / write to the Target Device under user control.

Gang Programming Capability

  • Up to 16 Programming Modules can be daisy-chained from a single PC via the Equinox RS-485 Programmer Bus
  • Each channnel can program a Target System independently of the other programmers (full asynchronous programming)
  • Very high programming throughputs can be achieved in Production Environments by using multiple modules programming in parallel
  • This method also supports programming of 2 or more Target Devices on the same Target System
  • ISP-PRO - Production ISP Software is required to control more than 1 programmer on the network
  • An RS-485 Converter is required to implement multi-channel programming

  • Standalone Keypad Mode - Project Selection via keypad / LCD. Press key to perform an autoprogram operation (no PC required).

  • 4-Wire TTL Control - control via Remote system using 4 control signals

CANUSB CANUSB is a very small dongle that plugs into any PC USB Port and gives an instant CAN connectivity. This means it can be treated by software as a standard COM Port (serial RS232 port) which eliminates the need for any extra drivers or by installing a direct driver DLL for faster communications and higher CAN bus loads. Sending and receiving can be done in standard ASCII format.
CANUSB-V2 CANUSB V2 is the new updated version of the original CANUSB product. It features a new ergonomic enclosure with a plug-in USB cable. All other operational features are identical to the original CANUSB product.
CAN232 CAN232 is a simple low cost tool to get connected to the CANbus via a standard RS232 port found on PC's, Embedded systems etc. It is driver independent, since all commands are ASCII commands. The CAN232 is the choice for small embedded Linux, DOS or Windows platforms where cost is important and now other alternative is availible more than a RS232 port. CANMON/PRO is a software utility which supports sending / receiving of CAN message frames using a simple graphical GUI. The utility only works in conjunction with the Lawicel CANUSB adaptor.

The main change for the FS2009USB programmers is the mains power supply specification and DC jack connector.

The power supply has been updated to a newer version which is now 'Level 6 efficiency' compliant. This is now a legal requirement for use in the USA.

The Jack Socket Connector has been changed from a 2.5mm to a 2.1mm Jack Socket Connector.

We are pleased to announce that a new set of Z-Wave SmartStart 'label templates' is now available which feature a small form factor but still contain all the required information to be Z-Wave SmartStart compliant.

Label 1 - SmartStart without UUID number encoded

QR and PIN  Dimensions: 20mm x 20mm

This is only 20mm x 20mm in size making it suitable to fit on products where there is not much room to stick a label. It features the mandatory 'Z-Wave config information' encoded into the 'QRCode' but it does NOT support a 'UUID' serial number value.

Label 2 - SmartStart with UUID number encoded

Dimensions: 30 mm x 30 mm

This is slightly larger in size because it also has the Z-Wave 'UUID' serial number value encoded into the 'QRCode'.

These label templates both feature the following:

  • QRCode graphic
  • 5-digit Z-Wave PIN value
  • Text: 'Z-WAVE DSK'

This 'label template' is one of the most popular SmartStart label layouts as it features the QRCode graphic and the PIN plus Z-Wave text to make the label easily identifyable as a Z-Wave product. If there is more space available then a larger label format could be used which includes a full Z-Wave logo.

The templates are written in Zebra ZPL language but contain macros to automatically insert the relevant parameters into the label. They are therefore only compatible with the Equinox ISP-PRO production programming software suite.

These 'label template' are available to download as part of the latest ISP-PRO version 4 or ISP-PRO version 5 full installs.
